Hi there.
It's a pleasure to meet you here.
Let me tell you a little about myself.

I am a clinical health psychologist and Certified Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) teacher, who is board certified in biofeedback. More importantly, I am a human being (it's true!) - a woman, a mother, a partner, a friend, a former caregiver for a parent - committed to a life of caring, still and always learning about navigating the world and relationships with her own identities and experiences. I am deeply moved by the opportunity to connect with other human beings and the stories of their lives.

I work from an integrative health perspective, drawing upon evidence-based, contemplative, and embodied practices to support people in caring for the whole of who they are: mentally, physically, emotionally, culturally, spiritually, relationally, and across other personally meaningful dimensions of wellbeing.

I believe that each person is the expert of their own experience, and that it is possible for each of us to reclaim, in our own terms, what it means to be whole, to be healthy, to care for ourselves, and to live a life of meaning and purpose.

I am a Certified Teacher of the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program, and am delighted to offer virtual MSC classes and retreats that are open to people across the world. Some of the MSC courses I teach are tailored to particular groups, such as women, mothers, caregivers, and/or mental health providers. If you would like to offer MSC classes or workshops to a particular group of people (friends, colleagues, students, teachers, clients, etc.), I would be excited to explore developing that with you.

I have extensive experience working with healthcare communities, leading mindfulness, self-compassion, and biofeedback-based programs (i.e., courses, retreats, workshops) for healthcare consumers and professionals. I currently offer a shortened, evidence-based adaptation of the MSC curriculum for healthcare providers, called Self-Compassion for Healthcare Communities (SCHC).

As a lifelong learner and adventurer, I am always interested in new opportunities to collaborate, bridge disciplines, and contribute to the health and healing of individuals, as well as our communities, systems, and planet. I would be thrilled to hear your ideas regarding projects, programs, and/or partnerships related to mindfulness, self-compassion, contemplative care, evolutionary psychology, nature advocacy, and/or psychophysiology. Please reach out!
